Where is the MSS headquarters located?

MSS currently employs 204 people at our headquarters facility.
Is it necessary to crate LCD and DLP TV's?
No, it isn’t necessary to crate LCD and DLP TV’s, but most Van lines advise it for LCD's so that no mistakes are made during the initial evaluation of the piece. The DLP is usually not crated but could be at the request of our customer. MSS suggests that any DLP or LCD over 40" diagonal should be crated to protect the screen. There is a new DLP that can be hung on a wall like the Plasma's and LCD's and it would probably be wise to consider it on that model.
Can we use the original carton to ship my Plasma, LCD or DLP TV?
Depending on the condition of the carton we could build a crate around the original carton to achieve the proper support. The use of the original carton alone in a household moving van is not advised.
Does the gas flex hose need to be replaced when servicing my gas appliances?
Manufacturers require that a new gas flex hose be installed every time an appliance is removed. Per The American National Safety Institute Code (ANSI Z21.14) it is improper to re-use a gas flex connector at another location.

In what states do I need a licensed plumber to service my gas appliance?
Currently we need to employ a "Licensed plumber or certified gas appliance technician" depending on the particular State and County code, to service gas appliances in the following states. FLORIDA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, MASSACHUSETTS, MAINE, MINNESOTA, NEBRASKA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT. This list is subject to change as more states are added to the list. Canadian jobs also have this same requirement.
Can I reuse the crates from my last move?
Yes, you can reuse the crates from your last move if our technician examines the crates and they are found to be in good condition we'll repack them at half the normal rate.
During what months is the MSS winter policy in effect?
The MSS winter policy is in effect from November 1 thru April 15th.
Does MSS use shock watches on its Plasma TV containers?
MSS does not use shock watches on its Plasma TV containers. We do not feel that they serve any purpose on a plasma container. There are many different types of shock watches and each has different tolerance levels. If the container arrives in good condition without any physical damage it should be fine.
Are your services provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day?
MSS is staffed on-site from 7:00 AM until 9 PM EST Monday-Friday, and 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. We have staff on-call 24/7/365. Furthermore, our Management Team is available via cell phone at all times. Our Managers are also equipped with home computers that are linked to the MSS system.
Also, MSS has multiple electronic order entry systems that are linked into our internal ERM (Enterprise Resource Management) system. Orders entered are evaluated by our system and 50% + of these evaluations result in automated dispatch to a local service technician within a few minutes of the order being received. Urgent orders trigger alerts to Management and Dispatch for manual intervention when required during normal business hours, as well as after hours, weekends, and holidays. In other words, an order can be accepted, dispatched, service-provided, and invoice-generated any time of day, any time of year with or without human involvement at the order acceptance and dispatch step
Can MSS do visual surveys and quality control visits if need be on a VIP job?
MSS could do a visual survey on any job that is unusually large or special circumstances exist. We could also send an onsite liaison to certain high level VIP jobs to insure that the services are performed as planned.
Occasionally I'll see a charge for the shipping of a front load washer kit on my invoice. Is this standard procedure?
MSS will add an additional charge for the shipping of a front load washer stabilization kit if we receive the job without proper notice and it's the only way to get it there in time to perform the service. A threshold of $25 has been established for this scenario before the charges would be incurred.
How much lead-time is required for domestic and international services?
There is no specific lead-time required for domestic or international moves. MSS has built its service response capabilities around our clients' needs.
